Ryan graduated from Montana State University with a degree in Exercise Science while setting records as a running back for the football team.  johnson[1]After a decorated career at MSU, he earned master’s and doctoral degrees in physical therapy from the University of Colorado. Since then, he has been a physical therapist in several orthopedic clinics and worked with a wide spectrum of beginner to professional athletes at two elite athletic performance training centers in Denver, Colorado. He currently teaches exercise science related courses as an adjunct professor at MSU and owns an orthopedic physical therapy practice inside Gold’s Gym. Ryan has continued his education with numerous rehabilitation and fitness organizations. In 2006, he finished a 10-month internship program and became certified in a cutting-edge muscular imbalance assessment and treatment process called Muscle Activation Techniques™. MAT can  eliminate muscular imbalances and pain while maximizing performance in life and athletics. The invaluable insights he gained from this program are maximizing his outcomes with both surgical and nonsurgical patients.
